I took a more relaxing portion of my trip and stayed in South Carolina a few more days than I originally wanted but at that point I just want to relax.  Here are some photos from Francis Marion National Forest  and Santee Coastal Reserve.

I went down to the beach at Vero Beach Florida.  Went camera happy!  After that I went over to St. Sebastian State Park.  Took some shoots their and walked around and enjoyed the park.  It is about enjoying the things of nature that God has given us to enjoy and manage.

Exploring Florida 2019! (Part 1)

I'm currently Exploring Florida as I write this up on at a Starbucks in Jacksonville Florida. I have gone exploring in some dense fog in Bald Point State Park, Florida.  It is a nice small state park.  Sure it was foggy but I enjoyed the nice comforts of a morning that was completely quite with the sounds of nature.  Later in the afternoon, I went over to Fort Clinch State Park.  Which has, Fort Clinch and beaches and trails for one to explore.  I even capture a deer eating the grass and scrubs of the forest.

Scouting

Scouting as a landscape photographer is one of the things, that I often do and it is necessary in order to continue to bring better and better shots.  One has to look and image what type of shot one is looking for.  I was looking for a hill type of shot that I can do either a sunrise or sunset.  If possible I would want to do an area that i can possibly do both.  If there is an area that is well known like a state or national park, one can just get that location and fine some places to shoot.  If it is a state or national park, one can just go to that area and shoot without dropping a pin on their maps.  If it is a big enough State or National Park, one could still drop a pin so that one can go to that location again.  You might want to keep your locations private and not make it public so that people won't flock to that location because the last thing a photographer wants to do is give away that location and have that location get ruined by other photographers.  A particular landscape photographer, that I follow on YouTube, has that policy, in order to protect the integrity of that special area and the respect the locals.

I went to a location out in the country north of St. Cloud, MN.  And took some photos.  I really enjoy the aspect of going out and taking my time to do landscape photography.  I did take some fun photos as well like some of these that are below.

Officially my First Sunrise Shoots

3/1/2019

This was my first attempt in getting a decent shoot at a good sunrise.  I was hoping for a better shot but considering that I was doing this on the fly and just getting off of work (I work overnights).  I figure, since the weather is decent enough for a possibility of a good sunrise, I figure I would.

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park Minnesota

I went up to Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, MN on Saturday, 2/2/2019.  I enjoy the trip up there I also plan on going up there again couple of more times this year.

History of Split Rock Lighthouse, Minnesota:

The History of Split Rock Lighthouse, Minnesota was dubbed the most dangerous place in the world for boats and ships.  There was a storm in November of 1905, that wrecked almost 30 ships, which promoted the creation of the lighthouse.

Now, the lighthouse is a icon of Minnesota and one of the top spots for photographers both professionals and non-professionals.

Membership at Subscribe Star

I will be hosting my membership part at Subscribe Star for the short and midterm range.  Long term I will want to host it on this site directly.  Subscribe Star is an alternative to Patreon due to various issues with Patreon, I can no longer do business with Patreon.  Subscribe Star is by far a much better alternative.  Once I have enough extra funds coming from Subscribe Star, I will want to switch over to this website directly.  Why? I don't want to be tied to one company for my income.  Plus I will also have my PayPal donate link as well.

Here are the benefits of supporting me via, Subscribe Star, EyeEm and PayPal, is to support my work as a photographer going around the country and hopefully around the globe (eventually), and taking photos at different places.  And show casing God's Creation and man's creative works around the world (buildings and other man made structures).  As of right now, I will do what I can to show case what I have shot around the upper Midwest of the United States of America.

Eventually, I would like to, in theory make this as a full time job.  That is my end goal, is to do this for a living.  I do really enjoy my current job, but at the end of the day, I want to be free from a "9 to 5" job, in my case a third shift.

I decided to go down to Hastings, Minnesota, today, since it is a beautiful cloudy day, I figure why not!  God, made this Earth and I want to take a few pictures to capture the landscape that God has created.  Yes, even cloudy days are beautiful!
